John Paitaridis (JP) is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CyberCX.

John is a recognised leader in the technology industry and business community. He is committed to the digital future of Australia and New Zealand, with a proven ability to translate vision and strategy into execution and results.

Prior to his role with CyberCX, John spent seven years as Managing Director at Optus, where he was responsible for Optus’ enterprise and business group and subsidiaries, one of Australia’s leading Information Communications and Technology (ICT) organisations.

John has a strong track record of driving financial and business outcomes, with a committed focus on serving customers and building high performance teams.

With 30 years’ experience in the technology industry, including almost 10 years based in Europe and Asia, John has been responsible for enabling the digital transformation and cyber security strategies for some of the most significant public-sector organisations and global enterprises, across banking and financial services, retail, logistics, media, infrastructure, energy, health, and mining sectors.

In 2023, John was appointed to the Federal Government’s Executive Cyber Council (ECC) by Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Cyber Security in 2023. John was appointed co-chair of the Cyber Security Workforce Working Group by the Minister.

In February 2024, John was appointed the co-chair of the Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF), the peak bi-lateral forum for dialogue between senior business and government leaders to improve business and trade and engage on trans-Tasman policy issues.

John currently serves as the Executive Chairman of high growth cyber technologystart-up and scale-up SAAS companies Airlock Digital, and Phriendly Phishing. "
