Alana Newbrook

Alana Newbrook is CEO of SYSTRA ANZ, leading a team of transport and mobility specialists delivering transformative infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand. Combining engineering expertise with a humanities background, she holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and English Literature from the University of Sydney, alongside an MBA from Macquarie University.

As a Fellow of Engineers Australia and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Alana champions inclusive leadership in traditionally male-dominated STEMM fields. Under her guidance, SYSTRA is actively reshaping industry norms by building diverse teams that reflect the communities they serve.

Drawing on her unique blend of technical and creative thinking, Alana is driving systemic change in how infrastructure organisations approach talent development and inclusive decision-making. She is passionate about creating pathways for underrepresented groups in engineering and ensuring infrastructure projects deliver lasting social value.
