Petra Andrén is a recognised leader in deep-tech innovation, investment and commercialisation, and currently serves as CEO of Quantum Australia, the nation’s industry growth centre for quantum technologies. With more than 25 years of international experience across advanced technology sectors, she is leading the development of a nationally coordinated quantum ecosystem, positioning Australia as a global force in quantum innovation and impact.

Her career spans startups, global corporations, venture capital and public policy. As CEO of Cicada Innovations, Petra built one of the world’s leading deep-tech incubators, supporting hundreds of science-based ventures and helping create Australia’s largest early-stage deep-tech investment portfolio. She has also held senior leadership roles in the life sciences sector, including establishing a US subsidiary for a European CRO and serving as Managing Director of Octapharma Australia.
